With my first Christmas in Pacific Grove, I was invited by a group of neighbors to do Christmas at the Inns around Monterey County for a two night event that was on the first two days of December. It's like an open house.
We get to tour five inns per night & have treats and drinks. On the first night, we first stop at Centrella B&B on Ocean Ave. It's a romantic & charming Victorian-era situated in Pacific Grove near California's beautiful Monterey Bay. They also decorated some of the rooms with Christmas decorations. By the end of the tour, we got have cookies & hot apple cider while listening to a live band play.
The second stop of the night was the Seven Gables Inn on Ocean View. They have spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean & Monterey Bay, also have luxurious rooms.
The third stop of night was Martine Inn on Ocean View, a living museum created by Don Martine. It's furnished with period antiques ranging from 1800 to 1920. The kitchen has the original Butler's pantry. We had poured from an antique pitcher hot apple cider & served cookies from an antique tray.
The fourth stop of the night was Gosby House Inn on Lighthouse Ave, located on the Monterey Peninsula. It has been welcoming guests for over 100 years. A cheerful yellow & White Victorian mansion has tended gardens & a central patio.
The last stop of the night, in the first night was at Asilomar. Where we had mulled wine at Asilomar's Phoebe Hearst Social Hall. They had a school band preformed & gingerbread house contest of each section of Asilomar.
